2023 Product Innovation – Inspital Scrub Sink with PU Knee Push: Hygiene that Thinks Ahead

It began, as great innovations often do: with careful listening. Day after day, doctors, nurses, and surgical teams encounter the same invisible hurdles: an operating table that isn't precisely adjustable enough. A positioning system that doesn't intuitively adapt to surgical needs. Technology that demands too much attention in critical moments – instead of seamlessly integrating into the workflow.

For surgeons, anesthesiologists, and operating room staff, this moment is more than routine.
It is a silent promise: of mindfulness, protection, and responsibility. And right here – at this inconspicuous but essential threshold between everyday life and high-precision medicine – there can be no compromises.

With the new generation of Scrub Sink SK60, introduced in 2023, Inspital brings this attitude into a new form: functional, hygienically thought-out, and intuitively operable – complemented by the innovative PU Knee Push System. Because hygiene today means not only germ-free but also touch-free, smooth, and reliable. With well-thought-out ergonomics, robust materials, and clear design language, Inspital makes visible what otherwise works in the hidden: An environment that thinks ahead – and creates safety where it begins.

With the 2023 version of the Scrub Sink series SK60, extended with the innovative PU Knee Push function, Inspital once again shows that clever details can make a real difference.

Design and Function United

What appears simple at first glance has been thought through in detail. The new Inspital Scrub Sink is not just a functional sink - it is an integral part of modern hygiene concepts in the OR environment. Thanks to touch-free control via photocell technology and the newly developed, ergonomic PU knee control element, it offers maximum hygienic safety without compromising on user-friendliness. This is crucial, especially in the sensitive transition to the sterile environment: hands remain germ-free, movements fluid.

Comfort Meets Control - for Clear Processes in the OR

The new knee control made of soft polyurethane was specially developed to provide pleasant haptic feedback - even with frequent use. This not only increases comfort for the OR staff but also reduces potential skin irritations or pressure points during prolonged contact.

The integrated LCD display at each washing station alternately shows water temperature and usage duration - a small but significant help in daily routines to reliably comply with the prescribed washing times.

With the thermostatic control, the water temperature remains constant at the desired level - without any need for readjustment or waiting times. This allows professionals to fully concentrate on their preparation.

Clean Down to the Last Detail

Another highlight is the anti-splash grating system, specifically developed to minimize water splashing. The advantage: The work area remains clean, clothes stay dry - and germs stay where they belong: outside. Rounded, concave corners inside the basin and the use of high-quality AISI 304 stainless steel ensure easy cleaning, smooth surfaces, and maximum hygiene. This means: less cleaning effort, longer durability, secure disinfection.

Modular Design - the Right Solution for Every Clinic

Whether for single use in the recovery room, double stations before the OR, or large solutions for central sterile areas: With the three available models - SK60.10 (Single), SK60.20 (Double), SK60.30 (Triple) - the Inspital Scrub Sink series is flexibly applicable. All variants feature the same high-quality equipment, dimensions, and ergonomics adapted to daily use in the clinical environment:

  • SK60.10: 800 x 550 x 1180 mm
  • SK60.20: 1600 x 550 x 1180 mm
  • SK60.30: 2200 x 550 x 1180 mm

Inspital Scrub Sink - the First Step Towards Safe Surgery

With the new Inspital Scrub Sink, the company once again demonstrates its expertise in developing practical, high-quality medical technology in 2023. Because true innovation is shown not only in high-end devices - but in the optimization of those processes that decide day after day on the safety of patients and staff.
