2022 Product Launch – Born from Everyday Practice: Inspital Presents Operating Table OT80.20 Novus
It began, as great innovations often do: with careful listening. Day after day, doctors, nurses, and surgical teams encounter the same invisible hurdles: an operating table that isn't precisely adjustable enough. A positioning system that doesn't intuitively adapt to surgical needs. Technology that demands too much attention in critical moments – instead of seamlessly integrating into the workflow.
These feedbacks didn't come in isolation, but from clinics and operating rooms worldwide.
And they all had one message: We need more than just stability. We need a partner at the center of the action.
With this vision, Inspital set out on a journey. Together with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR nursing teams, every handling was questioned, every movement analyzed, and every requirement for a modern operating table rethought.
The result is the OT80.20 NOVUS:
An operating table that opens a new chapter in medical technology in 2022 – developed not just to support surgical daily routine, but to revolutionize it.
Born from Practice - Developed for the Future
The NOVUS wasn't designed on the drawing board, but was born from the feedback of numerous surgeons, OR nurses, and medical technicians. Every button press, every movement, every function arose from the central question: How can we tangibly improve the working reality in the OR?
The result is an electrohydraulic operating table that distinguishes itself not only through its technical sophistication but also through its practicality for everyday use. A reliable basis for every surgical discipline - from general surgery to high-precision medicine.
Safety in Motion - Intelligent Technology
The NOVUS contains high-tech that thinks along: The integrated anti-collision sensors detect obstacles and automatically stop movements before a risk arises. Especially in dynamic OR environments, where devices, personnel, and patients interact in confined spaces, this is an invaluable safety factor.
Even more control is provided by the intuitive hand-held control unit: With battery status display, motion-sensitive degree indicator, and user-defined memory positions, OR positions can be quickly recalled - repeatedly, exactly the same. This saves time and increases concentration on what's essential: the patient.
Flexibility Meets Ergonomics
With 560 x 2200 mm, the OT80.20 NOVUS is suitable for a wide variety of procedures - even for bariatric patients. The electrohydraulic movements can be carried out smoothly, precisely, and quietly. Surgical accessibility, positioning comfort, and freedom of movement are guaranteed at all times - whether for minimally invasive procedures or complex operations. Moreover, the T-base construction allows maximum compatibility with imaging procedures - the table neither obstructs view nor access.
Comfort for Every OR
The NOVUS also thinks of those who are the quietest: the patients. Two specially developed mattress types offer individual comfort: The visco-elastic mattress adapts to body shape, distributes pressure evenly, and reduces the risk of pressure points - ideal for long procedures. The polyurethane mattress, on the other hand, impresses with its firm structure, high durability, and optimal hygiene - perfect for high-frequency OR daily routine. Both variants are resistant to disinfectants and meet the highest standards in infection control.
An Operating Table That Thinks Along. For Teams That Think Ahead.
The OT80.20 NOVUS symbolizes the path that Inspital has been consistently following for years: medical technology that not only functions but understands. Understands what teams in the OR need. Understands that safety is not an option, but an obligation. And understands that the best technology is the one that puts people at the center.
With the NOVUS, Inspital once again proves that innovation doesn't have to be loud - but effective. Not complicated - but well thought out. Not impressive - but reliable.
